Therapy services
I offer help to
(Young) adults who are proficient in Dutch or English. For individuals experiencing symptoms related to ADHD, stress and burnout, anxiety and panic, low mood and depression, trauma-related complaints, grief, insecurity, assertiveness issues, existential concerns, difficulty managing emotions or recognizing physical signals, and other mild personality issues.

I offer two forms of therapy:

-
A therapy process consisting of an initial intake session followed by regular therapy sessions;

-
Single Session Therapy (SST), which consists of a one-time session with no follow-up.

Both options are described in more detail alongside this text (or below, on the mobile version of the website). I also offer the possibility of psychological assessment for ADHD in (young) adults, if this appears to be the main concern during the initial intake session. You can find the costs for therapy and assessment here. If you're unsure whether I’m the right fit for you, feel free to send me an email.

Exclusion criteria
Unfortunately, I am unable to provide appropriate care for the following issues: (severe) symptoms related to addiction, eating disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, autism, suicidality, and criminal behavior. I also cannot provide appropriate care for intellectual disabilities.

What does your therapy process look like?
1. Sign up for therapy
You can register on this page. I will contact you by phone within two weeks to let you know whether we can schedule an appointment and to provide you with further information.

2. An initial session (90 min)
In the first session, we aim to get as complete a picture as possible of your symptoms, your request for help, and the context in which these exist. This allows me to assess how I can best support you.

3. Individual therapy sessions (60 min)
We will draw up a treatment plan and can begin right away. The content of the treatment plan and the therapy sessions will be tailored to your symptoms, needs, and personal situation — including the frequency of the sessions. In general, we start by gaining sufficient insight into your symptoms and their causes, so that we can then work together to find (practical) solutions. We evaluate progress regularly.

4. Completion of your therapy
When therapy feels complete and comes to an end differs from person to person. Usually, we move toward closure once you feel sufficiently resilient to handle any future obstacles on your own.

How does Single Session Therapy work?
Single Session Therapy (SST) consists of a one-time 90-minute session. In principle, with no follow-up.

The idea behind this form of therapy is that anyone can temporarily feel stuck or in need of guidance. A single session of support can already be enough to move forward independently or to prevent symptoms from worsening. This form of therapy is therefore based on one’s own self-reliance. The minimal time investment and affordability make the care accessible, flexible, and approachable.

In the session, the aim is to clarify, manage, and/or resolve a specific and well-defined issue. Depending on the nature of the request for help, I may use techniques from solution-focused therapy or from other treatment methods mentioned here.

You can register for SST by following the instructions on my registration page. I will contact you by phone within two weeks to schedule an appointment. To prepare for the session, I will send a short questionnaire.
